Too hilarious for words
I haven’t laughed this hard (at a non Dane Cook moment lol) in a very long time. I was, yeah… this is hilarious! I’m a big Jamey Johnson fan so it just made me laugh that much harder!

Now THIS is an artist that loves his fans…and always has!
http://www.mixtapeatlanta.com/2009/05/live-mix-butch-walker-rehearsal-.html
Walker thanked the crowd many times for giving him and the band the opportunity to rehearse before them. He stressed how important this rehearsal was to them, but it was equally important for the fans. If more artists genuinely appreciated their hometown fans the way Walker has through out the years, they would also be experiencing his same level of success and larger venue audience draw. -Kim Burdges
Rambling….this and that
It would be impossible for me to tell y’all just how very blessed I am as it would take way too long!
I am surrounded by so many wonderful, caring and just fantastic people and am in such a great place in life right now that sometimes I just have to stop…and take it all in. Only briefly however or I’d lose one of those blessings…my way to make money and make ends meet
I did some more Christmas shopping as well as shopping for things for the house (since I’m in nesting and decorating/organizing mode still) and while I do not wish for anyone especially a whole company of people to lose their jobs…I am having great fun at Linens ‘n’ Things, I’ve saved over $900 the past month or two in there and able to get somethings done it would have taken me six months to get done otherwise. It is now an evil place that I’m not allowed to go back to for fear of spending even more money on the house aka myself this year. I’ve already cut myself down to only buying for others at Best Buy until December 26th lol
I enjoyed having Jo in town the last few days and was very sad to drop her off at the airport but we’ll see each other again soon! I made it through 2 of the movies lol I promise to work my way through the rest! lol and oh yeah BOOOOOOOOOO
Spending time with some wonderful people in Nashville last night (Monday) You just never know where you’ll end up and who you’ll end up running into in Nashville after……
I’m sad, very sad I won’t be in Texas the first weekend of December for Deryl Dodd and Granger Smith’s show! And even more sad I don’t have Glo time lined up until 2009! But…at least it is not far into 2009!
I really enjoyed some rare time in “the office” today, quality time in there always makes me happy, as rare as it is!
Tim McGraw on SNL was freakin’ awesome! He was hilarious and had no problems making a big fool out of himself (in the great SNL way) Loved it!
Twilight….well while I loved the company for the movie….if I were 12 I would have probably thought it was the best movie possible but I’m not so I didn’t.
I have so missed Montgomery Gentry shows. I was in heaven at the Ryman last night…H-E-A-V-E-N! Next year will have to be the year I work back in more MG shows for sure!
Go ahead and keep your calendar available for Christmas for Kids 2009, it is always a great event every year and such a warm and uplifting one too! www.christmas4kids.org
Thanksgiving will be at my house this year but a very small one which is perfect…food, movies, sports and loved ones and the babies of course
I picked up the babies Christmas clothes tonight…can’t wait to get those pictures made lol
If I don’t say it before then….Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
We Need A Tree
Stolen from Jo’s blog….yep I’m a blog stealer but it so fits so many of my friends right now…or it should fit them
And yes I’m looking at the tree’s in my front yard….
We All Need a Tree.!!!I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had just finished a rough first day on the job: a flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric drill quit and his ancient one ton truck refused to start
While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands.
When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation.. His face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.
Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.
‘Oh, that’s my trouble tree,’ he replied ‘I know I can’t help having troubles on the job, but one thing’s for sure, those troubles don’t belong in the house with my wife and the children.. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning I pick them up again.
“Funny thing is,” he smiled, “when I come out in the morning to pick ‘em up, there aren’t nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before.”
A little of this, a little of that
CMA’s…proud…confused…happy…sad…yep that about covers it lol
Rodney & the gang (including Dana Radford!) did an amazing job I thought presenting the latest Rodney Atkins single, “It’s America” (request it RIGHT NOW at country radio!)
I did get to meet Reese Witherspoon briefly, that was wonderful! Y’all know what a big fan of Sweet Home Alabama I am so that made me smile a lot. And I got to meet Kevin Cosnter the night before at the Chevy CMA Kick Off show so it was a Hollywood weekend of sorts lol He was equally nice and both were very laid back! I didn’t get to stick around the show to see Kevin & his band perform because I was pooped and on a schedule lol
I’m pooped, running back and forth with so much going on (not only CMA/Rodney but lots of N2 work as well). I am glad to be home for a whole week! YAY!!!!! Not even a trip to Nashville (that I know of anyway lol) until I get to go to the airport next Saturday for the incoming guest(s). I am really looking forward to that and the Christmas for Kids show (get your tickets ASAP! www.christmasforkids.org)
Loving the new Butch Walker tunes! LOVING! Go get this musical genius right now!
I am going to spend this time at home…working, playing with the babies, cleaning house, and getting rid of a lot of things in boxes and totes that I haven’t touched in over a year….gotta love time in the attic lol I will soon be putting out the Christmas decorations as well!
I love this time of year
Burn After Reading
Okay, not as stupid as I thought but for sure not something for people with general sense of humor movie tastes. It was hilarious in that goofy kind of way and I have to say I couldn’t have watched it with a better co-movie watcher lol
Brad Pitt was totally able to make us forget he was once the Sexiest Man Alive guy.
George Clooney is still one of my favorite actors! He’s come so far!
Again if you see the ads for this and think it is stupid, it is the odd kind of humor these movie makers are known for but it isn’t quite as out there as you think.
ITC TV Taping
Into the Circle taping went pretty perfectly (with the exception of the pouring down rain right at doors open time!) The guys filmed their portion the first take and Kellie only had to do a double take of 2 of the 4 songs.
The special will start airing in September with Kellie’s being first. Rodney’s will be 2nd or third and I can not wait for it with the interaction between he and Charlie Daniels! What a mentor to have, huh?
I’ll make sure and post the airdate as soon as I have it solid.
For everyone that came out last night, it was great to see y’all! Lots of RA love in the crowd for sure!
Indiana
Had a great time traveling up to and through Indiana with Tecia this past week! It was a very relaxing and wonderful trip. No rushing around just casual fun! And of course the best part was getting some great Trish time! I love how we party so hard lol actually I love that we just spend downtime together in a very casual atmosphere with no stress or drama. I miss you already!
It was great seeing everyone at the Indiana shows too! Indiana has always been very kind to Rodney and all of us!
Now I’m off to look forward to Gloria’s visit this weekend! I hope to see a bunch of y’all out at the Opry on Tuesday!
